And Madison Based Hotel Management Company Couldn’t be More Proud

TripAdvisor®, the world’s largest travel website, announced this week their top Travelers’ Choice® Hotels for Families, naming KeyLime Cove Indoor Waterpark Resort the #1 Family Hotel in the US, and #2 worldwide, leaving S&L Hospitality very much the proud parent.

The annual TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice awards are based on millions of reviews and opinions posted on TripAdvisor by travelers from around the world. Top hotels for families were determined based on properties that were most highly rated by people who traveled with their family.

Keylime Cove opened its doors in 2008, but despite the indoor waterpark resort’s close proximity to Chicago and Milwaukee and its location across the street from Six Flags Great America, there was a lack of awareness and reservations had started to decline. Madison-based S&L Hospitality was brought on board to turn things around. Four years later, KeyLime Cove has outranked its Wisconsin Dells’ competitors as the #1 Family Hotel in the US.

“We train, lead and empower over 500 KeyLime Cove employees to do their job well, with enthusiasm, and to provide the very best family experience for our guests,” said Eric Lund, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer. “The reviews and feedback on TripAdvisor are a very honest reflection of the guests’ experience and we couldn’t be more proud.”

S&L Hospitality, founded by long-time partners Craig Stark and Eric Lund, is a privately held hotel and indoor waterpark resort development and management company in Madison, WI. The S&L Hospitality corporate team is comprised of industry experts with prior experience developing and managing more than one billion dollars in indoor waterpark resorts and hotels, nearly 100,000 square-feet of conference and meeting space, and six high-end spas. Their award-winning, hands-on philosophy and management style supports their mission to deliver a first-class guest experience, driven by superior strategic operations, sales and marketing.

KeyLime Cove is not only gaining recognition by families, the hotel and entertainment industry is also taking notice.  Aquatics International named KeyLime Cove “Best of Aquatics” in the waterpark resort category for 2011, and the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International named KeyLime Cove and S&L Hospitality the eMarketer of the Year last month. Locally, KeyLime Cove is known for their community involvement and has received several local accolades including Best Place to Work.
